Information: Founded in 1744, the historic monastery of Aghia Triada (Holy Trinity) is situated in Ghyrla, 2,5 km east of Chora, on the way to Agia Varvara.
During the Ottoman domination, twenty monks from Mount Athos came here and founded a school for learning reading and writing, as well as a seminary.
Today, there are no monks left and the monastery is managed by a committee controlled by the Municipality of Tinos.
