Description: Mountados, a traditional small village, dating back to more than 1000 years, was quite well known for arts and culture.
It is one of the few villages in Tinos where Scholachio (High School) used to operate. It is also homeland of the Paximadi family, members of the “Filiki Eteria” (“Friends Society”) during the greek revolution, as well as of many important artists, like Lampakis and Platis.
Today it is a picturesque small village with friendly people, clean cobbled streets and traditional houses.
