The Building
In the interection of the streets Filonos and Karaoli Dimitriou is the Neoclassical building of the Old Post. The construction started at March 1899. It was designed to host three different services (Post, Telegraph and Telephone) and worked based on the standards of the Geneva Post office. On August 19th, 1901 the inauguration took place.
Nowadays the visitor is amazed by the central octagonal room which is covered by a glass room called “Patio”. That room was the central room of the building and you can still see the service windows.
