Description
The village of Pedoulas is one of the most beautiful villages of the mountainous resorts along the Troodos Mountain region and it is located 1100 metres above sea level, in the Marathasa valley.
Both the climate and the altitude of Pedoulas are ideal for cultivating fresh fruit and vegetables. Farming is part of the residents' life in Pedoulas, which in fact remains the most important cherry production area in Cyprus. Visit us in March and April to take romantic walks in the snowy cherry fields and return in May and June to find the cherry trees loaded with delicious fresh cherries!
The history of the village begins back in the Byzantine years and continues during the Frankish and Venetian occupations. Time has undoubtedly left its mark on the village of Pedoulas! While staying in our hotel, do not miss the opportunity to visit the protected by UNESCO church of Archangel Michael. You can also visit the Byzantine Museum, the Folkloric Museum and the 10 churches of Pedoulas.
Nature lovers should know that Nature Trails ideal for hours of relaxation and exercise on the mountain can be found around the village of Pedoulas, while the most daring ones can cycle along the cycling path!
What¢s more, the Kykkos Monastery, the Monastery of Ioannis Lambadistis in Kalopanayiotis and the mountainous resort of Troodos are located only a 15-20 minute drive away from Pedoulas.
