Ledra Museum Observatory is located on the 11th floor of the Shiacolas Tower (Debenhams building) in Ledra Street. It is the highest building within the walled city of Nicosia and it has been operating as an observatory museum with a panoramic view of Nicosia. The aim here was to renovate the premises of the museum to create a new brand identity and modernize the technology used within the museum with multitouch flat screens.

The whole project was undertaken and managed by ARMES Ltd, who hired me for the development and design of the software that was to be used with the multitouch flat screens. With the new technology, the users can have a different experience of Nicosia and learn more about its culture and history. It offers an interactive map over the architectural division of the island, where visitors can access information about buildings in their viewing direction. The user can interact with the application to access photos, videos and historical facts about the buildings they are seeing.
