The museum is housed in a historic building. Organized as a collaborative venture between the Nicosia Municipality and the Leventis Museum, the Municipal Shadow Theatre Museum is intended to be a center of learning a place where the displays of historic puppets inspire young people to write and perform their own scripts in the Museum's amphitheatre.
