Giannis Maniatakos (1935-2017) retrospective exhibition

In 2016, the Cultural Foundation of Tinos offered to exhibit a selection of works by Giannis Maniatakos, an outstanding artist from Mani who also led the School of Fine Arts of Panormos-Tinos for thirty years. Maniatakos’ unfortunate death at the beginning of this year left an enormous void in Tinos and the country’s art scene. But it didn’t put an end to the project. On the contrary, it triggered a close collaboration between the Cultural Foundation and the artist’s family, which resulted in a major retrospective exhibition of drawings and sculptures by Giannis Maniatakos, running at the Cultural Foundation of Tinos from 26th August to 31th October 2017.
