Description
The folk art Museum is housed in a restored 18th-century building, which actually is a traditional House of the area with all your home computer and other equipment. Created with the aim of maintaining morals and customs of the community Arsos and rich cultural heritage of the wine villages. In front of the House there is a tall stone-built wall with the front door that leads to the stony courtyard and the hangar, which outlined many tools and materials related to the vine and the wine. Moving meets the "Palace", which was the main area of use that functioned as a kitchen, dining room and living room for the family. In this space are tubs, cauldrons (bronze utensils), monoboyppes (pinakwti), armarolla (cupboard), ' niskia ' (where they placed their food) and others. Then is the "sospito" (cellar) where retained traditional winemaking tools. In the large room of the upper floor rooms are traditional furniture and traditional weaving tools, such as the loom with "doulappin" and the spinning wheel. Inside room of the upper floor rooms there is a permanent exhibition of old photographs of events, weddings, races in the nation, and other activities. The Museum organized activities associated with the exhibits and the occupations of the residents of the community. Also, the room is ideal for hosting exhibitions. Free tours are held, after telephone arrangement, both in groups and individual guests.
