Information

The Museum General Georgios Grivas Digenis is dedicated to the life and work of General George Grivas Digenis (1897-1974) and includes personal belongings, photographs and other printed material, from birth until his death. Besides the various exhibits in the museum there is the underground hideout of General Digenis used during the National Liberation Struggle of EOKA 1955-1959. There was housed and the headquarters of EOKA where Digenis headed the race for four years. Moreover, in the courtyard of the Museum exposed the historical boat "Siren", which was carrying arms for the start of the race in March 1954. In the same ship also traveled Dighenis and landed on the coast of Chlorakas in November 1954 for to prepare the struggle of EOKA In the same area is the tomb of George Grivas Digenis. Free guided tour during opening hours of the Museum.
