Description

The village of Agios Mamas is rooted in the eastern foot Zalaka Mountain that dominates the whole area. It is 25km from Limassol and at an altitude of around 590m. It is famous for its cool climate during the summer months. It is assumed that the village was built by the Byzantines Akrites (border guards) that protected the island from the attacks of Arab pirates between 7-10 century.
