Description

Agios Dimitrios village is at an altitude of 900m and it is situated in one of the most beautiful areas in Cyprus. A tribute of Diarizos, the Cold River, runs through the village. It is bordered by dense forest and it has many broadleaf grapevines with apricot seen in the courtyards of the houses.

Although rainfall exceeds 900 millimeters, the land that is suitable for cultivation is limited, due to terrain, which prevented agricultural development. Thus the village’s financial resources were scarce and the residents’ day life quite difficult.
