Description

Kapi is located 43.1 km from the city of Mytilene, at an altitude of 300m above sea level. Probably named after the ‘capes’, a kind of poor quality tobacco, which the Turks used to cultivate.

The inhabitants are mainly engaged in farming and agriculture and are famous for producing beans.

The port is better known to locals as ‘Yeni Limani’ and there also is a beautiful region in the northeast part of the village with a small beach and a few quiet cafes.
