Description

Ipsilometopo is located in the northern part of the island, 55 km from the town of Mytilene. It is a small picturesque village, built at an altitude of 400 meters.

Sights worth visiting are the three-aisled royal temple of Taxiarchis with its unique wooden temple, the church of St. Dimitrios which is one km away from Taxiarchis and also the beautiful location of Aslani where a natural spring gushes cool water.

The biggest social event of the village is the feast of St. Marina, held every year on July 17.
