Chidira is located in the northwestern part of the island. Renowned for the ‘Mithymnaio wine’ which is a local type of wine produced by organically grown grapes.

Chidira village is the birthplace of the famous painter George Iakovidis- one of the most important painters of modern Greek art. A sight worth vsiting is the digital museum of George Iakovidis.
