Description

Alifanta is located 3.3 km west of Mytilene, at an altitude of 175 meters. On the top of the hill, towards the west of the village there is the chapel of ‘St. Nicholas Alifantes’. Next to it, there is a quarry dug back during the ancient times.

Magaras cave is situated on the same hill and it is considered to be of considerable Byzantine and Roman archaeological substance.
