Description: On the eastern part of the island between Aperi and Olympos lies the Village of Spoa which is in the center of the island. In this mountainous village you can have a wonderful view of the karpathian sea, high above the sea and especially when the sun rises early in the morning. Built in terraces on the mountain, little houses and lots of steps in its narrow paths around the central church of Saint George. Some small coffee shops in the village offer traditional tastes.

For sure when your get there you have to visit the little fishing settlement of Agios Nikolaos, a 5 minutes drive from Spoa. The sloping asphalt road takes you to a small port with pebbles beaches, transparent water and little taverns where you can taste the local traditional sardines (menoules) with your ouzo, just meters away from the sea.
