Native Land – A Reference Point

This pluri-disciplinary exhibition, which was co-organized by the Cultural Foundation of Tinos and the newly established Association of Plastic and Visual Artists of Tinos, showcases recent and older works containing direct or indirect references to native land, memories, images or personal bonds and, perhaps more importantly, are symbolic of the timeless traditions that make this rock island in the Aegean a unique reference point for art. And if anything remains of what we call “reality”, it is that which is captured and deeply embedded by memory in human consciousness. That is to say our inner homeland.
