The church  has been dedicated to the Virgin of Rosary.  The icon above the Holy Table depicts the Virgin and the Child between St. Dominic, the apostle of piety of St. Rosary, and St. Catherine of Sienna. According to history the icon  was transported  in 1715 from Venice to Mykonos. The icon placed with gold arch round and the floor of the church paved  with marble tiles. All of this was burnt completely on the night of 1st May 1991 - on Labor Day during the fire.  The icon of the Virgin of Rosary suffered great damage. After restoration which it underwent in Tinos, the icon was transported with pomp to the church. It is the only Catholic church on the island and every year it is visited by a lot of people.
