Information

The Cyprus wine museum displays the history of wine and the wine roads. It has a unique thematic report, collection of archaeological findings and a series of exhibits on the theme of wine. Provides visitors a unique journey in fifty-five centuries of Cyprus wine, update for safekeeping, use and marketing of wine from antiquity to the present day. Outlines the importance of grape vine and wine in the arts, showcases the indigenous grape varieties and the story of one of the oldest and unique wines are still produced, Commandaria (Nama). In 2008, the Cyprus Wine Museum was awarded by the European Museum Forum. Throughout the year organized lectures, classes wine tastings, performances and concerts. Also, apply different educational actions aimed at school groups at all levels. Free guided tours are offered at fairs and Edgar Degas wine (for a fee) from Cypriot grape varieties, both in individuals and in groups. The tour organised total visitors takes place with prior arrangement.
