Agiasos is located at the slopes of ‘Mount Olympus’ at an altitude of 475m above the sea level. This is a village with narrow cobbled streets surrounded by a lush landscape full of pine trees, olive trees, apple trees, chestnut and cherry trees and has until this day kept all the religious traditions alive.

Agiasos is known throughout Greece for the church the ‘Virgin and Child’, as the exact translation reveals, which is located in the center of the village. Every year, many pilgrims come on August 15 to attend the huge national celebration of Virgin Mary.

The church of the ‘Holy Trinity’, built in 1870 at the region of Kamboudi is a site of distinct beauty one should most certainly visit. Also, don't forget to visit the Museum of Folk Art situated in the churchyard.
