Description

Agia Paraskevi is located 40 km northwest of Mytilene. This is a beautiful village consisted of beautiful old style houses. The name comes from the chapel of ‘Agia Paraskevi’ which was built inside a cave.

In the region there are 64 chapels; the magnificent church of the ‘Archangels’ (1856) which is of exceptional beauty and the Wooden temple. The Museum of industrial olive-oil production of Lesvos, hosts the agricultural, industrial and folklore tradition.

The village is also famous for the ‘Taurus Feast’ which combines several events around the unfortunate sacrifice of a Taurus.
